history

The first written mention of Vierhöff took place in 1458. It is certain that the place originated much earlier and was part of the Pernštejn rule . In 1486 the village belonged to Jan Černý von Prosetín and Vierhöff. The parish was Prosetín.

Čtyrdvory consisted of 12 estates in 1674. After the Josephine tolerance patent was issued , 15 residents converted to the Church of the Helvetic Confession after 1781 . At that time, an evangelical church was built in Prosetín, and Čtyrdvory belonged to its district. In 1790, 157 people lived in the 17 houses of the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Čtyry Dvory / Vierhöfen formed a municipality in the Boskowitz district from 1850 . The school location was Prosetín, where there was both a Catholic and a Protestant school. In 1856 the construction of the road from Hodonín to Švařec was completed. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1898 . In 1900 Prosetín consisted of 34 houses and had 247 inhabitants, of which 157 were Catholics and 90 were Protestants. Persistent disputes had developed over time between members of the two denominations. There were also differences with the predominantly Protestant neighboring community of Prosetín. These reached their peak when the Prosetíner wanted to build a new school at the lower end of their village. After violent protests, the school was finally built at the upper end, where it was also easily accessible for the children from Čtyry Dvory. The residents lived from agriculture. The Häusler operated in-house weaving until the First World War.

During the German occupation, partisans operated in the woods south of Čtyry Dvory from 1939. Seven families moved to the Sudeten areas in May 1945 . 1947 Čtyry Dvory was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. 1961 was incorporated into Prosetín, at the same time the village came to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . In 1985 the construction of a waterworks began in the headwaters at Obecník, two years later the village pond was redesigned as a fire water pond. In 1991 the place had 110 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 40 houses in which 121 people lived.
