history
The village was one of the many villages founded according to the Lhot system , whose settlers were exempt from duties and services to the authorities for a certain period of time. The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1250. After the village fell in 1398, it was settled again a little later by the Kunštát rule . In 1790 the village had 117 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, the place, which in the course of time was also called Lhotec and Lhotka , remained subservient to Kunštát.
After the abolition of patrimonial Lhotka formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . In 1900 the community had 187 inhabitants. In 1948 Lhota u Olešnice was assigned to the newly created Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, after its dissolution the municipality came to Okres Blansko at the beginning of 1961 . In the second half of the 20th century, the population began to decline significantly. In 1961 only 71 people lived in Lhota u Olešnice. In 1991 the community consisted of 15 houses permanently used for residential purposes and had 44 inhabitants. In 2001 only 14 houses were permanently inhabited and 34 people lived in Lhota u Olešnice. Between 1989 and 1990 Lhota u Olešnice was a district of Olešnice. Lhota u Olešnice has existed again since July 1, 1990. In the summer of 2006 the Niederdorf was devastated by a flood of the Hastrmánka, which had swelled into a raging river.
