In 1547 the Boskowitzers sold the rule including the villages of Valchov, Velenov , Žďárná , Ludíkov and Protivanov to Simon Eder von Sstiawnicz ( Šimon Eder ze Štiavnice ). In 1569 the Zástřizl family acquired the property. After the lords of Zástřízl became extinct in the male line, Susanne von Zástřízl sold the Boskowitz reign in 1689 to Count Walther von Dietrichstein . Iron ore was mined in the vicinity of the village. In the course of the establishment of the parish Žďárná Valchov was changed from Boskovice to Žďárná in 1748. At the end of the 18th century, mining on iron vitriol and coal took place near Valchov . In 1800 Valchov established its own school after the residents refused to pay the Žďárná teacher. Until the middle of the 19th century, Valchov always remained submissive to Boskovice.
After the abolition of patrimonial Valchov formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice. After the Dietrichstein family died out, the goods fell to Count Mensdorff-Pouilly in 1864 . In 1878 the mining in Valchov was stopped. In Valchov also was an amber-like bitumen, which by the locals as Erdweihrauch scientifically and as Walchowit was named the winner. The residents of the village used it to smoke their cattle. In 1882 a school house was inaugurated. In 1908 a post office opened in Valchov. The post was repealed in 1950. At the beginning of 1961 Valchov was assigned to the Okres Blansko . In 1976 Velenov was incorporated . The school closed in 1981 and in 1992 the building was converted into a fire station for the volunteer fire brigade . 1986 Valchov was incorporated into Boskovice. In January 1992 the Valchov municipality was re-established.
