Krhov (German Kerhow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers southeast of Kunštát and belongs to the Okres Blansko .
geography
Krhov is located on the right side above the valley of the Úmoří brook in the Blanenský prolom ( Blanz basin ). To the east rises the Na Kamencích (428 m), in the south of the Malý Chlum (488 m) and southwest of the Speše (368 m). To the west of the village the route of the expressway R 43 / E 461 leads past, behind it are the embankments of the unfinished Vienna-Wroclaw Reichsautobahn .
Neighboring towns are Sebranice and Vaculka in the north, Skalice nad Svitavou and Jabloňany in the northeast, Lhota Rapotina in the east, Obora and Huť svaté Antonie in the southeast, Bořitov and Perná in the south, Žerůtky and Lysice in the southwest, Drnovice in the west and Voděrady in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the settlement of miners was in 1409. Iron ore was mined near Krhov until the middle of the 19th century.
After the abolition of patrimonial Krhov formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . After the ore mining stopped, the mining of slate and coal began. After the dissolution of Okres Boskovice, the municipality came to Okres Blansko at the beginning of 1961 . In 2001, 160 people lived in Krhov's 59 houses.
