history

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Letovice lordship was in 1398, when Sigmund von Ronow signed over Vranová and two farms to his wife Eliška. In 1447 the Letovič estates were halved. The Lords of Lomnitz received one half, while Eliška sold the other half from Ronow's second husband Milota von Tvorkov to Vaněk von Boskowitz . There was no separation, the Boskowitz and Lomnitzer owned half of the castle, the town, the villages and the forests. In 1499 the Boskowitz half fell to the rule of Ladislav von Boskowitz. He bought the other half of the castle and the town of Letovice from the Lomnitz people. In 1524 the brothers Jiří and Jan von Lomnitz sold their half of the estate together with the Stvolovský rybník pond near Vranová to Christoph von Boskowitz on Třebová . This left half of the village Vranová together with Vřesice in 1531 to Pavel von Vojenice, who struck the goods of his rule Křetín . Until the middle of the 19th century, Vranová was divided into the Letovic and Křetín sides. The two parts not only wade submissively to different rulers, but also parish there at the same time.

After the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1850, the municipality of Vranov was created from both parts in the district authority of Boskovice . The place has been called Vranová since the end of the 19th century . In 1924 the parish separation was lifted and the entire village parish to Křetín. Burials of residents of the Letovice side continue to take place in the Letovice cemetery, as their family graves are located there. At the beginning of 1961 the community was assigned to the Okres Blansko . Between 1972 and 1976 the Letovice dam was built. Between 1986 and 1990 Vranová was incorporated into Letovice.
