history

The first written mention of the village was in 1353 as a possession of the Vladiken von Drnovice . In 1487 there was a festival in Crhov. Wilhelm II of Pernstein united Crhov in 1496 with the goods of the Louka Castle and added them to the Pernstein rule . At the end of the 16th century, when the Pernstein manor was sold out, the village was sold to the Kunstadt manor . In 1790 235 people lived in the village. In the 19th century, Crhov mining took place on graphite .

After the abolition of patrimonial Crhov formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . The school was inaugurated in 1868, after which lessons were held in Olešnice. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1882. Two years later, a community library opened at the school. In 1900 the village had 321 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 311. In 1936 the district road from Olešnice to Rozseč nad Kunštátem was built, and in 1948 the Crhovský potok was regulated. In 1960 the population had dropped to 242. At the beginning of 1961 the community was assigned to the Okres Blansko . In 1980 Crhov consisted of 49 permanent residential houses and had 190 residents. Between 1989 and 1993 Crhov was part of Olešnice. The Crhov municipality has existed again since 1994. On the evening of July 15, 2002, the Crhovský potok swelled into a torrent after a strong thunderstorm. Along with Štěpánov nad Svratkou , Olešnice and Hodonín, Crhov was one of the four most damaged villages in the 2002 flood in the Hodonínka catchment area .
