history

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Křetín rule took place in 1367. The village was located on the old Strenitzer Steig between Moravia and Bohemia. Owners were u. a. the lords of Vojenice. Since 1521 there is evidence of a manorial Vorwerkshof in Veselka, which over time was united with the Křetín large estates. The place was u. a. referred to as Veselí and later as Veselá . Ferdinand II moved in 1618 the Vojenický property because of participation in the Moravian uprising and handed over the rule of Křetín to Friedrich Kaltenhof of Malejov. After his death, Simon Kratzer von Schönsberg bought the goods at auction in 1623. At that time the village consisted of five houses. 1629 sold Kratzer the rule with the associated villages Vřesice , Vranová , Křetín, Veselka, Dolní Poříčí, Horní Poříčí , Prostřední Poříčí , Bohuňov , Studlov and Bradlné to Otto Melander von Schwarzenthal . Subsequently, there were frequent changes of ownership. In 1656 Marie Elisabeth Eggert von Grünberg bought the property, followed by Johann Walderode von Eckhausen. The Counts of Walderode, from 1816 Desfours -Walderode. In 1790 there were 96 people living in the village. The oldest local seal shows a plow with the inscription Obec Vesela na Morave . In 1834 Veselka had 161 inhabitants. After the construction of the railway, the imperial road, which led from Ústup to Trpín in Bohemia , lost its importance in 1848.

After the abolition of patrimonial Veselá formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . In 1890 the village had 150 inhabitants, in 1900 there were 151. The school was inaugurated in 1912, before lessons took place in Olešnice. Since 1925 the municipality has been called Veselka . In 1938 there were 138 people living in the community. After the Second World War, the population fell rapidly, in 1947 only 72 people lived in the village. By 1960 the number of inhabitants had dropped to 63. At the beginning of 1961 Veselka was incorporated into Kněževes and at the same time assigned to Okres Blansko . In 1980 the village had 47 inhabitants.
