The village is located on the northern edge of the Halasovo Kunštátsko Nature Park. Towards the north, the Křetínka forms a deep valley in which the Letovice dam was built in the northeast . Neighboring towns are Křetín in the north, Lazinov and Vranová in the north-east, Vřesice in the east, Ořechov, Jasinov and Rudka in the south-east, Petrov in the south, Rozseč nad Kunštátem and Louka in the south-west, Crhov in the west and Rozsíčka and Ústup in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village belonging to the Kunstadt rule was in 1374 when Heralt von Kunstadt assigned the goods in Sulíkov, Ústup , Rudka, Petrov , Makov , Rozsíčka and shares in Zbraslavec , Touboř, Sychotín and Rozseč to his wife Jitka as trousseau. In 1406 their sons Jiří and Heralt von Kunstadt inherited the property. Sulíkov consisted of nine houses in 1674, two of which were uninhabited. The oldest local seal dates from 1717. In 1790, 126 people lived in the 25 houses of the village. In 1834 the village had 142 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, Sulíkov was always subject to the Kunštát rule. Limonite was mined in several shafts northeast of the village on Brablecův Kopec . A large windmill stood on the Povětrňák hill above the village ; it was demolished in 1866.
After the abolition of patrimonial Sulíkov was from 1850 together with Petrov to the Rozseč municipality in the Boskovice district administration. In 1867 the village of Sulíkov was established. 1957 Vřesice was incorporated. In 1890 Sulíkov consisted of 27 houses and had 140 inhabitants. In 1900 there were 142 people living in the village. The planned construction of a railway line from Skalice nad Svitavou to Bystré u Poličky in 1924 , the route of which was planned via Sulíkov, failed due to resistance from the municipality of Rozseč, which demanded a route across its own municipality and thus completely prevented construction. At the beginning of 1961 the community was assigned to the Okres Blansko . The Sulíkov municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2004.
Community structure
The community Sulíkov consists of the districts Sulíkov ( Sulikau ) and Vřesice ( Wschesitz , formerly Brzezitz ), which also form cadastral districts.
