Drnovice (German Drnowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers west of Boskovice and belongs to the Okres Blansko .
geography
Drnovice is located at the eastern foot of the Nedvědická vrchovina in the Blanenský prolom ( Blanz basin ). The village lies in a valley at the confluence of the Drnovický potok in the Úmoří. To the north lies the hill Hůry (470 m), south of the Hvozdec and to the west the Bařiny and Dubovice rise. State road 376 from Bořitov to Kunštát runs through the village ; The route of the expressway R 43 / E461 passes three kilometers to the east . To the east of the village are the dams of the unfinished Vienna-Wroclaw Reichsautobahn .
Neighboring towns are Zbraslavec in the north, Voděrady in the north-east, Krhov in the east, Lysice in the south, Štěchov in the south-west, Lhota u Lysic in the west and Kunice in the north-west.
history
There is no precise information about the age of the place. The year 1131 mentioned in the school chronicle of 1881 cannot be confirmed, since the place mentioned in a list of the Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik can also be Drnovice near Vyškov . Likewise, Nikolaus von Drnovicz, mentioned in the Saar's writings in 1252, cannot be assigned. The information in the school chronicle that he was a son of the Austrian Count Gerhard von Berneck and the younger brother of the founder of Kunstadt and founder of the Kunstadt family , Kuno von Berneck, is not supported by any sources. It must therefore be assumed that the oldest and clear documented mention of Drnovice comes from 1353.
The place was owned by the von Drnovicz family, who moved their headquarters to Rájec in the middle of the 15th century . There is evidence of a fortress since 1391. Under the rule of Ctibor z Drnovic , the chapel was converted into a church in 1526. With Jan z Drnovic , the male line died out in 1619.
The knightly family of the Piati, who owned Drnowitz from 1745 to 1811 and then called themselves Piati z Drnovic , did not descend from the Drnovicz. Via Antonia Dubský, née Piati z Drnovic, the property passed to the Dubský family at Lysice Castle in 1811 . In 1843, Count Emanuel Udalrich Dubský set up a small metal hardware factory that produced nails, rivets, screws and hooks.
After the replacement of patrimonial Drnovice became an independent municipality in 1850. In May 1945 Count Albrecht Dubský left the country and his property, as well as the factory, was expropriated as German property. The company Tylex Letovice moved into the metal goods factory in 1953, relocating its production of bobbin lace here in 1965 and being the sole manufacturer in Czechoslovakia.
The property was used by the Jednotné zemědělské družstvo (JZD) Lysice until 1989 and then sold to several residents for residential purposes. After the velvet revolution, the production of the bobbin lace factory was reduced and in 2002 the company was sold to the TOPAK company, which continues the production of laces, ribbons and braids.
Attractions
- The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1526 in place of a 13th century chapel. It was rebuilt between 1833 and 1838 and renovated in 2000.
