history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1145 in the course of an exchange of goods between the Premonstratensian monastery Litomyšl and Duke Otto I over two fields in Sudice. In 1274 the Hradisko Sudice monastery exchanged for Bohušín with Hermann von Letovice . Later the Lords of Boskowitz acquired the goods. In 1349 Jan von Boskowitz left part of his property, including Sudice, to Katharina, Archleb von Boskowitz's widow, for usufruct. The Pastvisko farm was first mentioned in 1371 when Ulrich von Boskowitz gave it to his wife Zdenka von Cimburg . Since 1376 Sudice was also the seat of Vladiken ; Martin von Sudice was followed in 1406 by Václav Nahrádek von Sudice. In 1391 Tas von Boskowitz and Brandýs sold part of the village to Heralt von Kunstadt . The ancient Pastvisko mill, located at the confluence of the Kovářovický potok in the Semíč, was bought by the owner of the Boskovice estate, Václav von Zástřizl , from Nikolaus Pexa in 1627. He had the Pastvisko farm rebuilt and connected the surrounding villages to it. At the same time, Václav von Zástřizl left the Vejštici forest near the mill, including the Panina louka meadow, to his wife Eusebia von Proskau until 1647 . In 1740 Sudice consisted of 35 houses. In 1793, 420 people lived in the 39 houses in the village. In 1846 the village had grown to 68 houses and had 419 inhabitants. In the same year a major fire destroyed almost the entire village. Until the middle of the 19th century Sudice remained subject to the Boskovice rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sudice formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . In 1856 the Mensdorff-Pouilly family acquired the Boskowitz estates including the Pastvisko farm. Another major fire destroyed several barns and ten sheds in 1882. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1887. In 1900 there were 89 houses in Sudice, in which 597 people lived. The entire population of the place belonged to the Czech ethnic group. In 1911 Sudice had 667 inhabitants and in 1921 there were 706. After the end of the First World War, the Counts Mensdorff-Pouilly sold the mill to Josef Kovařík from Sudice. In 1931 599 people lived in the 119 houses in the village. After the expropriation of Count Mensdorff-Pouilly, the Pastvisko farm was attached to the Boskovice state school property in 1948. At the beginning of 1961 Sudice was assigned to the Okres Blansko . In 1969 the JZD Sudice bought the Pastvisko farm. In 1975 Sudice consisted of 143 houses and had 477 inhabitants. Between 1980 and 1991 Sudice was incorporated into Boskovice . In the same year the village had 461 inhabitants. After the incorporation, a significant population decline began. The village has existed again since 1992, at that time Sudice had 382 inhabitants. In 2009 there were 454 Czech citizens and 14 permanent residents living in Sudice.
