Pamětice is located at the southern foot of the Podorlická pahorkatina ( Eagle Mountain Foreland ) in the Boskowitz furrow . The village lies in the basin of the Pamětický creek. To the west rises the Hora (544 m) and to the northwest the Nad Amerikou (553 m); the hills are also called Pamětické hory . Two kilometers to the east is the route of the unfinished Vienna-Wroclaw Reichsautobahn .

history

Pamětice was built in the 12th century as a square group of four properties. The settlement was named Pamětice after Paměta, one of the landowners. The first written mention in a deed of donation from Olomouc bishop Heinrich Zdik about part of Pamětice to the Litomyšl monastery from 1145 has turned out to be a later falsification. A record from 1233 is certain. In 1295 the monastery Litomyšl Pamětice sold to the provost on Vyšehrad . Since 1384, Benešek von Pamětice, the Vladiken family living in the village, can be traced . Part of the village belonged to the Lords of Boskowitz since the 14th century . From 1547 the entire village belonged to the Boskovice manor . In the hoof register of 1677 14 houses and nine other properties are shown for Pamětice. The oldest place seal of Pamietiz comes from the year 1735. In the 18th century the village was expanded considerably. To the west of the old town center, known as Dědina, the Příhon group of houses was built, and behind it in the forest the settlement of America consisting of eight chalets. The group of houses Hřesko was laid out to the east. In 1793 the place consisted of 43 houses and had 197 inhabitants. In 1843, 217 people lived in the 40 houses in the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pamětice formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . In 1900 the village had 258 inhabitants. At the beginning of 1961 Pamětice was assigned to the Okres Blansko . Between 1986 and 1990 Pamětice was incorporated into Letovice . The community has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2001. Today Pamětice consists of 88 houses.
