The Boskowitz Furche ( Boskovická brázda in Czech ) is a 95 kilometer long, largely unforested, depression in the Brno Uplands in the Czech Republic . It extends from Městečko Trnávka to Moravský Krumlov over an area of ​​479.54 km² in a north-east-south-west direction.

The Bosko brázda bordered to the north by the Podorlicko ( Podorlická pahorkatina ) and the Hanušovická Vrchovina ( Hanušovická vrchovina ), northeast to the High townspeople Bergland ( Zábřežská vrchovina ), to the east by the Drahanská country ( Drahanská vrchovina ), southeast to the Bobrawa Highlands ( Bobravská vrchovina ), in the southwest to the Jaispitzer hill country ( Jevišovická pahorkatina ), to the west to the Upper Schwarzawa mountains ( Hornosvratecká vrchovina ) and to the northwest to the Krischanauer mountain country ( Křižanovská vrchovina ).

The highest point is the Nad Amerikou (553 m) in Svárovská vrchovina near Letovice . The mean height of the Boskowitz furrow is 354.6 m.

The Boskowitz Furche is divided into the Small Hanna ( Malá Haná ), the Schernowitz Horst ( Žernovnická hrásť ) and the Rossitz-Oslawan Basin ( Oslavanská brázda ).

The valley is crossed by the Rokytná , Oslava , Jihlava , Bobrava , Svratka and Svitava rivers, mainly from northwest to southeast .

The Boskowitz furrow is mainly filled with permocarbonic and neogene sediments and chalk islands. A coal deposit formed in the Rossitz-Oslawan Basin .
