The Oslava (German Oslawa or Oslau ) is a left tributary of the Jihlava in the Czech Republic .

The Oslava rises one and a half kilometers north of Budeč in the Krischanauer Uplands in the area of ​​the protected landscape area CHKO Žďárské vrchy in a swamp area between the hills Kopeček ( Butschberg , 599  m ) and Hamerský Kopec ( 593  m ) at 570  m above sea level. NN . In its upper reaches it feeds the large ponds Babín, Matějovský rybník and Veselský rybník. Via Mostiště, Velké Meziříčí , Nesměř, Oslava , Vaneč , Naloučany , Ocmanice , Nový Mlýn, Náměšť nad Oslavou and Oslavany , the Oslava then flows in a southeastern direction through the Jaispitzer hill country ( Jevišovická pahorkatina ). The remains of the castles Sedlecký hrad, Lamberk, Kraví Hora , Levnov , the Gloriet viewing alcove and the Vlčí Kopec hunting lodge are located along the river .
