The Mostiště dam is a reservoir in the Czech Republic .
geography
The dam is located in the Křižanovská vrchovina ("Krischanauer Bergland") about four and a half kilometers north of the town of Velké Meziříčí . The dam is located between the villages of Olší nad Oslavou and Vídeň . The Nedomův Mlýn mill is located below the dam.
history
The dam was built between 1957 and 1961. At the time of completion, the structure with its dam consisting of 333,000 m³ rubble and concrete was the dam with the largest embankment dam in Czechoslovakia.
The dam is also used to generate electricity via a Kaplan turbine with an output of 0.4 MW.
