Zňátky (German Zniatka , 1939–45 Sniatka ) is a district of the city of Náměšť nad Oslavou in the Czech Republic . It is located two kilometers southwest of Náměšť nad Oslavou and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .

geography

Zňátky is located in the basin of a small tributary to the Oslava in the Jevišovická pahorkatina ( Jaispitzer hill country ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . To the east is the deeply cut Oslavatal (National Nature Reserve Divoká Oslava ), to the south the valley of the brook Zňátecký potok. In the southeast the Kleštěnec rises (422 m nm), southwest the Babí hora (472 m nm) and in the west the Babí horka (455 m nm). To the southwest is the Náměš liegt military airfield .

Neighboring towns are Náměšť and Otradice in the Northeast, Kralický Mlyn, Velkopolský Dvůr and Kralice nad Oslavou in the East, U Vlasáka and Březník the southeast, Sedlec in the south, Hartvíkovice and Třesov in the southwest, Radarka and Studenec in the west and Okarec and Vícenice u Nameste nad Oslavou in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Wznatky came in 1377, when Ješek von Krawihora sold the village with the exception of a mill to Jaroslav von Langenberg ( Lamberk ) hereditary. Since 1437 the village belonged to the Namiescht rule .

In 1837 the village Zniatka or Zňatka in the Znojmo district consisted of 21 houses in which 194 people lived. The parish was Namiescht. Until the middle of the 19th century, Zniatka remained subject to the Fideikommissgrafschaft Namiest.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Zňatka / Zniatka 1849 a district of the municipality Vice Nice in the judicial district Namiest . From 1869 Zňatka belonged to the Trebitsch district. At that time the village had 214 inhabitants and consisted of 23 houses. In 1900 there were 203 people in Zňatka ; In 1910 there were 174. In 1919 Zňatka broke away from Vícenice and formed its own municipality. In the 1921 census, 153 Czechs lived in the 31 houses of the municipality. Zňátky has been used as an official place name since 1924 . In 1930 Zňátky consisted of 33 houses and 150 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Zňátky / Sniatka belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1948 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Velká Bíteš. In 1950 Zňátky had 148 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velká Bíteš, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Třebíč on July 1, 1960 . At the beginning of 1980 it was incorporated into Náměšť nad Oslavou. In the 2001 census, 116 people lived in the 41 houses in Zňátky.

  • The remains of the Zňátky castle, east of the village opposite the Velkopolský mlýn ( Kralice Mill ) on a spur above the Oslava. There are no written records about the system. Possibly it was built by the Lords of Tassau and left to decay after the area was sold. Remnants of ramparts and ditches have been preserved.
