The Chvojnice is a left tributary of the Oslava in the Czech Republic .
geography
The Chvojnice rises northwest of the Ramaška hill in the village Košíkov, two and a half kilometers south of Velká Bíteš on the D 1 motorway . On their way south through the Jaispitzer hill country ( Jevišovická pahorkatina ) lie Krokočín and Hluboké . The stream at Újezd u Rosic is then dammed in the Chvojnice dam, which is used for the water supply. Between the Spálený Mlýn and Olšinský Mlýn, the Střelice – Okříšky railway runs on a bridge over the valley.
Opposite the Senohradský Mlýn the Chvojnice flows after 20 km at 268 m above sea level. NN in the Oslava. Its catchment area covers 63.9 km².
Attractions
Between Horní Lhotice and Lesní Jakubov , on the right side of the Chvojnice, are the remains of the castles Horní hrádek and Dolní hrádek.
South of the Spálený Mlýn, the narrow valley of the Chvojnice up to the mouth forms part of the Údolí řeky Oslavy a Chvojnice nature reserve . At the mouth of the river lie the remains of the Kraví Hora and Levnov castles on rock spurs on both sides .
