After Hynko von Kukwitz had acquired Újezd in 1482, he joined the goods to his rule Rossitz . During the Thirty Years War, Újezd was sacked in 1620. After the end of the war, ten of the 18 properties were listed in the hoof register. In 1770 Újezd consisted of 25 farms. Since 1789 Újezd has belonged to the Popovice parish .

After the abolition of patrimonial Aujezd formed a municipality in the Brno district from 1850. At the end of the 19th century, the place names Oujezd and later Újezd were used. At this time Újezd began to grow. From 1900 the municipality Újezd belonged to the Velké Meziříčí district. In the course of the land reform of 1925, the large estate Rossitz- Eichhorn of Baron De Forest fell to the Czechoslovak state. In the 1930s there was a mill and a saw in Újezd, two taverns and two shops, two tailors, two blacksmiths, two cobblers, two carpenters and one butcher, tailor and a trucking and shipping company. After its abolition, the place came to Okres Brno-venkov in 1961 and received the official addition u Rosic to distinguish it from Újezd u Brna .
