history

The first written mention of villa Herolticz was in 1358 as the property of Mikuláš von Heroltice. Heroltice was the headquarters of the Vladikegeschlechts Herult of Heroltice, who owned the place 200 years. Their feast is believed to be on the hill of Horka. After Johann von Pernstein and Johann von Leipa on Krumlov had jointly acquired the village from Mikuláš Herult von Heroltice, they had an iron hammer built on the right bank of the Svratka at the confluence of the Heroltický potok in 1535. At the confluence of the Pejškovský potok in the Svratka, another hammer mill was built in 1536 on the left side of the river on an island at the U širokého proudu square . The basis for this building was a contract between Johann von Pernstein and Johann von Leipa, who was also the owner of the Veveří estate . Half of this hammer belonged to Veverská Bítýška . The time of the sinking of both hammers is not known, only the remains of the ditch and walls of the hammer on the island are preserved.

After the abolition of patrimonial Herotice / Herotitz formed a municipality in the Brno district from 1850. Since 1905 the municipality belonged to the Tišnov District . In 1923 the name of the municipality was changed to Heroltice / Heroltitz . After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, the municipality came to the Okres Brno-venkov at the beginning of 1961 . Between 1986 and 1990 Heroltice was incorporated into Tišnov. The village after Tišnov is parish.
