history

The first mention of Nebowidi was in the Chronica Boemorum in a deed of donation from 1104 to the monastery Třebíč , which has turned out to be a forgery. The place was laid out as a street village. The independent Nebovid manor was in spiritual possession, mainly the Brno chapter of St. Peter and Paul . During the Thirty Years War, the village was sacked by the Swedes in 1645. In the course of the Josephine reforms, the property fell to the religious fund in 1782. In 1821, a large fire destroyed part of the town.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nebovid formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Brno. In 1881, today's place name Nebovidy was first used. In 1921 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Brno-venkov. Between 1948 and 1960 Nebovidy belonged to the Okres Brno-okolí. After its cancellation, Nebovidy returned to the Okres Brno-venkov.
