Černvír (German Tschernwir , formerly Czenwier ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 13 kilometers northwest of Tišnov and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Černvír is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village lies on both sides of the Svratka at the confluence of the Skorotický creek.

The Vinohrady (529 m) rises to the southeast. The Tišnov - Žďár nad Sázavou railway runs through the village , and a railway bridge over the Svratka runs north of Černvír. The nearest train station is in Nedvědice. Pernštejn Castle is to the northwest of the village .

Neighboring towns are Nedvědice and Klečany in the north, Skorotice in the north-east, Křížovice in the south-east, Doubravník and Maňová in the south, Rakové, Sejřek and Mansberk in the south-west, Nový Dvůr in the west and Pernštejn in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1285. The name of the place derives from the swirls of the Svratka (formerly Schwarzawa), which breaks through rocks here. In the 14th century the village belonged to the Vladiken von Klečany family, later it became part of the Pernštejn domain .

After the abolition of patrimonial Čenvír formed from 1850 with the district Křeptov a municipality in the Brno district and in the judicial district of Tischnowitz . From 1887 Křeptov became part of the municipality Křížovice. Since 1896 the community belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz. In 1923 the name of the municipality was changed to Černvír . In 1948 the community was assigned to the Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. After its dissolution, Černvír came to Okres Žďár nad Sázavou at the beginning of 1961 . Since January 1st, 2005 Černvír belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

Attractions

  • Church of the Assumption, on a rocky plateau above Svratka. It was probably built around 1228. In 1969 frescoes were discovered in the church, depicting the birth of Christ, the Last Supper, the Passion of Christ and the Last Judgment, as well as a coat of arms with three fish. In the years 1977 to 1982 the church was repaired and the altar of St. Leonhard from the church in Mušov . There is a marble portal at the sacristy. In the church there is the burial place of Johann von Pernstein's wife Hedwig von Schellenberg, who died in 1535, as well as the marble tomb for Urban Švanda († 1704).
  • Cemetery by the church, with a splendid tomb of the Svoboda millers family. The grave of radio editor Ivan Šráček is also located here.
  • Covered wooden bridge over the Svratka, the building erected in 1718 is considered the oldest of its kind in Moravia. The 35 m long and 2.6 m wide leads over the river at a height of 4 m. The roof is covered with wooden shingles.
