history

To the north of Lomnice there was a village that is now called Starý Rašov . According to soil finds, its origin is dated to the 12th century. It went out in the 15th century. In the Middle Ages, mining for silver and iron ore took place in the area, today the field names Ve stříbrných dolech and Smržův důl still remember this . The ore was processed in Žleby's smelting furnaces, and charcoal, which was produced at V milířích , was also delivered there . When Tas von Lomnice acquired the Deblín estate through marriage in 1290 , his property also included the now extinct village of Radoškov, southwest of Rašov. The Lords of Lomnice had a mine built there. The settlement of Rašov may have been started by miners.

The first written mention of the place took place around 1344. In 1368 the village was called Russova . The church probably existed as early as the 14th century. At the end of the 14th century, Russova formed an independent estate, as its landlord, Benesch von Russova, was recorded in the Brno land table . In 1412 Jan von Lomnice owned a share of Rašov. Later Rašov was completely attached to the Lomnice domain , Markvart of Lomnice also used the Rašov title in 1459 . The oldest evidence of a church and a parish in Rašov comes from 1492, when the parish church received a new bell. In 1510 the chief judge of Moravia sued Znata von Lomnice, Heinrich von Leipa , because his subjects in Čučice had seized the property of the Rašov pastor Matěj and he had appointed his own pastor in Čebín . Matěj was the last pastor of Rašov, after which the church was added to the parish in Lomnice as the Commendatar Church . Mining ceased between the 15th and 16th centuries. In 1793 the village had 197 inhabitants. The first village school was established according to the Lomnick parish chronicle in 1797, the school chronicle gives the year 1819. In 1839 there were 357 people in Rašov's 56 houses. In the same year, a downpour before harvest time caused a flood that caused considerable damage. Until the middle of the 19th century Rašov remained subordinate to the Lomnitz rule, who maintained a farm in Rašov. During the time of the last landlord, František Benatr, the district road from Lomnice to Černá Hora was built .

After the abolition of patrimonial Rašov formed with the district Zhoř from 1850 the municipality Rašov-Zhoř in the Brno district and judicial district Tischnowitz . During the German War in 1866, Prussian troops brought in cholera , from which 21 residents of the village died. In 1880 the community had 595 inhabitants, 478 of them lived in Rašov and 117 in Zhoř. As of December 31, 1890 there were 431 residents in Rašov and 109 residents in Zhoř. Between 1893 and 1894, a new school building was built for a two-class school. On May 24, 1896, a large fire destroyed four properties in Rašov. The Rašov Voluntary Fire Brigade was founded in 194, but it was not operational until two years later. Since November 1, 1896 Rašov belonged to the newly formed district administration Tischnowitz. In 1900 Rašov consisted of 67 houses in which 434 people lived. Zhoř had 110 inhabitants and consisted of 19 houses. The 1911 census counted 407 inhabitants in Rašov and 113 in Zhoř. In the same year four farms burned down in Rašov. In January 1916 the children of the Italians who lived in Rašov and Zhoř started school and an Italian teacher was employed. However, no actual class took place because the children were indisciplined. After the teacher was recalled by the factory owner, teaching in the Italian school ceased in May 1917. In 1920 Zhoř formed its own municipality. In 1921 there were 387 people in Rašov. In 1924 the Chrastová brook was regulated. In the same year, in the course of the land reform, the farm belonging to the landowner Otto Graf Serényi was partially parceled out. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov Rašov came to the Okres Blansko at the beginning of 1961 . In 1970, work began on laying out the new cemetery. In 1972, 800 young cherry and plum trees were planted on the Niva and Vinohrady corridors . The state enterprise Uranový průzkum began in August 1980 in the Bučí corridor with the exploration of an above- ground uranium ore deposit discovered in 1956 in which 500 t of ore were suspected. At the end of 1984 there were 478 people in Rašov. On October 28, 1985 it was incorporated into Lomnice. The village was hit by heavy rain on June 22nd, 1986, when a fireman from Tišnov died and the road to Lomnice was destroyed. The school in Rašov, which the children from Zhoř also attended, closed in 1987. From then on, teaching was carried out in Lomnice. In 1990 Rašov broke away from Lomnice and formed its own community. In the same year the road connection to Lomnice was restored. At the 2001 census, Rašov had 219 inhabitants. In 2005 the new municipal coat of arms and banner was consecrated. Since the beginning of 2007 the municipality belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
