Vranov (German Wranau ) is a Czech municipality in the Okres Brno-venkov and is ten kilometers north of Brno and seven kilometers south of Blansko (German Blanz ).
history
Vranov was first mentioned in 1365.
Paulan monastery
The place is dominated by the Paulan monastery Vranov , founded in 1633, with the early baroque pilgrimage church of the Birth of Mary . Below the monastery church is the family crypt of the House of Liechtenstein , in which the princes of Liechtenstein were buried until the middle of the 20th century.
