history
Hradčany was first mentioned in writing in 1397. The village belonged to the Porta Coeli monastery and developed over the years into a center of monastic goods. Until the secularization of the monastery in 1782, Hradčany was always subject to the Cistercian monastery. After that, the village fell to the religious fund , which sold the Porta Coeli rule to Wilhelm von Mundy in 1799 . He was followed in 1821 by the Baron von Wittinghof.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hradšany formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district and judicial district Tischnowitz . At the end of the 19th century the current place name Hradčany became common. Since 1896 the community belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz. Until 1922, the historical layout of the village had changed little. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, the municipality came to the Okres Brno-venkov at the beginning of 1961 . Between 1980 and 1990 Březina was incorporated into Tišnov. The village after Tišnov is parish.
