history

View of Lelekovice

The place was first mentioned in writing in 1228 in the Codex diplomaticus Moraviae, when Hartmann von Hohlenstein donated his property in Studyně to the Cistercian monastery "Vallis S. Mariae" in Oslavany . Hermann von Lelechwyz also appeared as a witness. In the following the place was called Lelechwyze , Lelecouicz , Lelcowicz , Lelecowicz and Lelekowicz . The possessions of the Vladiken von Lelechwyz included the Upper Castle in Rájec nad Svitavou and Rozstání , Spešov and goods in Svinošice , Němčičky and Šebrov. In 1405 the family died out and their property fell to the von Kunstadt family . In the middle of the 16th century the village consisted of 36 houses and had about 180 inhabitants. After the castle fell in the 15th century, a stately court was built 500 to the west of it. In the hoof register of 1656, 36 properties are shown for the village, seven of which were desolate. To the west of the village, an old trade route led from Brno via Zwittau to Silesia , on which there is evidence of an inn that has been functioning as a relaxation since 1373. From 1674 the place was called Lelkowitz and in 1718 it was called Lelekowitz . In 1771 Lelekowitz had 310 inhabitants, the village was Czech-speaking. South of the inn, settlers from the Litomyšl area founded the Zinsdorf settlement in 1784 .

After the abolition of patrimonial Lelekovice formed a municipality in the Brno district from 1850. In 1856 a major fire destroyed part of the village. With the construction of the railway from Brno to Tischnowitz , the Zinsendorf railway station was built near Lelekovice in 1884 . In 1893 part of the village again burned down. In 1921 the village came to the Okres Brno-venkov . Between 1948 and 1960 it belonged to the Okres Brno-okolí and after its dissolution back to the Okres Brno-venkov.
