Church of St. George

The first written mention of the place took place in 1353 when the Lords of Čebín bought a farm in Radostice from Kuneš from Měnín. After the Čebín family died out, their estates fell to the Margraves of Moravia at the end of the 14th century. In 1412 Jobst von Moravia sold the Čebín estate and all accessories for 300 shock Prague groschen to Jan von Lomnice, who added it to his rule in Lomnice . Teaching has been taking place in Čebín since the first half of the 18th century. Until the middle of the 19th century, Čebín always remained submissive to Lomnice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Čebín formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district and judicial district Tischnowitz . The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1880 and acquired a four-wheeled fire engine from Hiller & Witwe . The syringe manufactured in 1879 is still functional today. In 1886 a new school building was inaugurated in Čebín. Since 1896 Čebín belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, the municipality came to the Okres Brno-venkov at the beginning of 1961 . Čebín has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2003. Limestone has been quarried on the hills around Čebín for a long time , today a limestone quarry is in operation on the southern slope of Čebínka. Today Čebín is also the parish for Sentice.
