Nová Ves (German Neudorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers west of Ivančice and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Nová Ves is located on a plain between the Jihlava and Oslava valleys . The village is largely located in the area of the Oslava Nature Park and on the north-eastern edge of the Střední Pojihlaví Nature Park. The Oslava tributary Údolní potok has its source in Nová Ves. To the north rises the Roveň (316 m), in the northeast the Oslavanská stará hora (298 m), east the Koblih (274 m) and Bouchal (276 m), in the south the Vinohrady (278 m), west the Biskoupský Kopec (397 m) m) and in the northwest of U Oběšeneho (369 m). The extinct settlement Řevušín lies between Nová Ves and Senorady.

Neighboring towns are Lukovany in the north, Oslavany in the northeast, Ivančice in the east, Letkovice and Alexovice in the southeast, Řeznovice and Hrubšice in the south, Biskoupky in the southwest, Kozínek and Lhánice in the west and Senorady and Čučice in the northwest.

history

To the northwest was the settlement Řevušín. This was first mentioned in 1230 in the course of its pledge by Abbot Ernst of the Trebitsch Monastery to the Cistercian monastery "Vallis S. Mariae" in Oslavany . At the beginning of the 14th century, the Cumans burned the village.

A legend recorded in the Nová Ves memorial book places the destruction of Řevušín one hundred years later in the time of the Moravian fratricidal war between the Marquis Jobst and Prokop . The Oslavany Monastery is said to have founded a new settlement, Nová Ves , closer to the town around 1410 , which received a part of the Řevušín corridors called Zadní Pustá Ves .

Nová Ves was first mentioned in writing in 1547. Since 1750, a seal with the inscription Dedina Nowa Wes can be traced.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves formed a municipality in the Brno District Commission . In 1921 the village came to the Okres Brno-venkov . Between 1948 and 1960 it belonged to Okres Rosice and after its dissolution back to Okres Brno-venkov. In 1985 it was incorporated into Oslavany . The municipality of Nová Ves has existed again since 1990.
