Lubné (German Lubna , formerly Lubny ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northeast of Velká Bíteš and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
geography
Lubné is located between the Libochovka and Halda valleys in the basin of a small stream in the Křižanovská vrchovina (Krischanauer Uplands) belonging to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Chochol (512 m) rises to the west. To the east of the village, the Brno-Havlíčkův Brod railway line runs through several tunnels along the Halda, the nearest railway station is Níhov.
Neighboring towns are Žďárec and Ostrov in the north, Kutiny and Řikonín in the Northeast, Chytálky the east, kuřimské jestřabí and Kuřimská Nová Ves in the southeast, Na Burkách, Katov and Křižínkov in the south, Níhov , V Bařinách and Březí in the southwest, Borovník the west and Rojetín in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village was in 1360.
After the abolition of patrimonial Lubny formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district and judicial district of Tischnowitz . Since 1896 the village belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz under the name Lubný . In 1923 the place was named Lubné . During the German occupation, underground manufacturing facilities for aircraft construction by Messerschmitt GmbH were built in the tunnels of the railway line from Brno to Deutschbrod under the code name Diana . POW camps were set up in the area at the end of the Second World War. The barracks of the Kutiny camp were converted into recreational facilities after the end of the war. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, the village came to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou at the beginning of 1961 . Since the beginning of 2005 the community Lubné belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov . The village is parish to the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Žďárec .
