Attractions

  • Maria Rosenkranz Chapel on the village square, built in 1856
  • several crosses made of sandstone, cast iron and marble
  • baroque branch church of St. Stanislaus, the stand-alone church was built in the 18th century in place of a sanctuary that had existed since 1407. Legend has it that the church construction originally began elsewhere, the work was destroyed at night and two eagles are said to have moved the foundation stones to the current location, where the church was finally built. The building, located a good kilometer northwest of the village above the Besének valley, is surrounded by a cemetery used by the municipalities of Osiky, Strhaře, Brumov and Synalov.
  • Statue of St. Stanislaus, the mighty figure standing in the forest, was allegedly placed at the originally intended site of the Stanislaus Church
  • Remains of Osiky Castle on a wooded knoll above Stanislaus Church. The complex, whose original name is unknown, was built in the first half of the 13th century. It may be the Zuzinov Castle that cannot be located . Until the second half of the 20th century, this castle was considered to be Levnov Castle, which has been identified with the complex near Ketkovice , previously known as Ketkovský hrad , since the 1980s .
  • Padělky natural monument, the 1.31 hectare area north-west of Strhaře was protected because of its presence of heat-loving and lime-loving plant species
  • Pilský rybníček nature reserve, west of the village in the Besének valley
