Skalička (German Skalitschka , formerly Skalitzka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers east of Tišnov and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Skalička is located on the left bank of the Lubě river at the confluence of the Lažánka and Unínský potok in the Boskowitz furrow . To the north rises the Hluboké (391 m), in the northeast the Na Dílech (400 m), east the Společná hora (429 m), in the south the Paní hora (395 m) and northwest the Čihadlo (453 m). To the north, below the ruin of the same name, is the Trmačov desert.

Neighboring towns are Hluboké Dvory in the north, Újezd ​​u Černé Hory and Milonice in the northeast, Lažany in the east, Lipůvka in the southeast, Nuzířov and Malhostovice in the south, Drásov in the southwest, Všechovice in the west and Hajánky, Hájek and Unín in the northwest.

history

The origins of the village go back to the 13th century, from this time the oldest walls of the Žandovský mlýn come from. Skalička was first mentioned in writing in 1349. A fortress has been located on Hradisko Square since the 15th century, and from 1573 it was described as desolate.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skalička formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Nuzířov in the district administration Brno . In 1887 Skalička became independent. Since November 1, 1896, Skalička belonged to the newly formed district authority Tischnowitz . On July 12, 1922, the village was hit by a severe flood of the Lubě. During the German occupation between 1944 and 1945, one of the centers of the partisan movement in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was in the forests around Skalička . From Skalička acted the III established by General Luža . Czechoslovak shock company. The Villa Žandov next to the mill served several times as a place for conspiratorial gatherings between partisans and other persons of resistance against the National Socialists. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, Skalička was incorporated into Všechovice at the beginning of 1961 and at the same time assigned to the Okres Brno-venkov . In 1971 the incorporation was repealed.

  • Chapel of St. Wenceslas on the village square, built in 1923, parts of the altarpiece were created by Ladislav Kotas
  • Mill Žandovský mlýn, which has been in existence since the 13th century, is the oldest building in the village
  • The ruins of Trmačov Castle , north of the village, have been handed down as the seat of Vladiken Ondřej von Trmačov since 1305 . The castle has been considered desolate since 1466. The walls were later removed as building material by the residents of the surrounding areas. Remains of the wall of the keep are preserved.
  • Memorial stone for the partisan company of General Luža , erected in 1946 in the forest north of the village
