Silůvky (German Siluwka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers east of Ivančice and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
geography
Silůvky is located in the valley of the Šatava at the transition from the Bobravská vrchovina to the Thaya-Schwarza valley basin . The village is on the edge of the Bobrava Nature Park. To the north rises the Horka (321 meters), in the southeast the Jalovčiny (337 meters) and to the southwest the Bukovina (385 meters). To the west of the village, the Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou – Brno railway runs through the forest, where the Silůvky railway station is also located .
Neighboring towns are Prštice in the north, Nebovidy in the northeast, Ořechovičky, Ořechov and Tikovice in the east, Syrovice and Bratčice in the southeast, Mělčany , Dolní Kounice and Nové Bránice in the south, Moravské Bránice in the southwest, Ivančice in the west and Hlína in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1277.
After the abolition of patrimonial Silůvky formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority of Brno. In the 1860s, the Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou – Střelice railway was built west of the village . In 1921 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Brno-venkov. Between 1948 and 1960 Silůvky belonged to the Okres Brno-okolí. After its cancellation, Silůvky came back to Okres Brno-venkov.
