Řícmanice (German Ritzmanitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers northeast of the city center of Brno and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Řícmanice is located in the south of the Drahaner Bergland . The village is surrounded by forests and lies at the confluence of the Močílky brook into the Časnýř.

Neighboring towns are Babice nad Svitavou in the north, Kanice in the northeast, Obce and Ochoz u Brna in the east, Horní Mlýn, Prostřední Mlýn, Hostěnice and Mokrá-Horákov in the southeast, Líšeň in the south, Bílovice nad Svitavou in the southwest, and Ořešín in the west. Útěchov and Ptačinek in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of the village was in a document dated to 1210 in connection with a Zdislav de Recmanisci. This document turned out to be a later forgery. Over time, Řícmanice was owned by the families of Kunstadt , Leipa , Boskowitz and Lichtenburg . In the 17th century the Liechtensteiners acquired the goods and added them to the Pozořice rule . Řícmanice formed a municipality with Kanice , since the 17th century both villages used a common seal, which showed a mallet crossed with a hoe and a hip below.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Řícmanice with the district Kanice 1850 a municipality in the district administration Brno . In 1867 Kanice broke up and became an independent municipality. 1921 Řícmanice was assigned to the Okres Brno-venkov . Between 1948 and 1960 the municipality was part of the Brno-okolí Okres and since 1961 it has belonged again to the Brno-okolí. Today Řícmanice belongs to the Časnýř microregion. The village is parish after Babice nad Svitavou .
