history

Between the end of the 19th century and the 1940s there were archaeological finds in Trousko that can be dated to the Paleolithic . In 1946, 23 early Christian graves were found behind the cemetery.

The oldest written mention of the place took place in 1237 in a document Wenceslas I , in which Robert von Troubsko signed as a witness. In the Middle Ages the place was split up between different owners. Between 1317 and 1389 there was a feudal estate of the Olomouc bishopric in Troubsko . In 1349 the Prior Ludger of the Brno Dominican Order bought together with his niece Katharina a portion of the village, which he gave to the Brno Herburgen monastery. This part was attached to the Řečice rulership between 1578 and 1581 after the property of the Herburg monastery had been transferred to the Jesuit college . The greater part of the goods was in worldly possession. The family of Křižínkov, Rohozov, Svojanov and Vladike von Heršpice belonged to the landlords of this part . In the first half of the 16th century Matthias Munk von Eibenschütz acquired a share of Troubsko and from 1573 the entire village. The Munk family held Strunz until 1606. They were followed by Karl the Elder von Zerotein , Albrecht von Waldstein and Johann Rupert von Hausberg. 1709 acquired Thomas Johann Sekora of Seckenberg the Freigut Strutz. The Seckenbergs held Troubsko until 1806. In 1826 Leopold Hodák acquired the rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Troubsko / Strutz formed a municipality in the Brno district from 1850. In 1856 the Střelice – Brno railway line was inaugurated. Subsequently, a settlement developed around the train station. As a result, the place expanded further towards the south-east, beyond the church, which originally stood in the open. A school was also built in the 1850s. In 1876 Strutz was raised to a minority . In 1905 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. After the First World War, Friedrich von Hochberg bought the Troubsko estate from Hugo and Josef Gabriel Ptáčník. The Sokol gymnastics club was established in 1911 and the Orel two years later. In 1921 Troubsko came to Okres Brno-venkov. Between 1930 and 1937 the race track of the 29.1 km long Brno Ring, later named Masaryk Ring in honor of President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk , ran through Veselka. The start and finish was at Bosonohy. In 1948 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Brno-okolí. At that time, after the communists came to power, the Hochberg family was expropriated. After its cancellation, Popůvky came back to Okres Brno-venkov in 1961. The motorway was built between 1969 and 1972.
