history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1240 in a document from the Porta Coeli monastery . Since then, Rohozec has always belonged to the monastic property. The parish was Unín , where teaching was also carried out in the 18th century. In 1782 the monastery was abolished in the course of the Josephine reforms by Emperor Joseph II and its property was placed under the administration of the Bohemian crown. The Porta Coeli estate was sold to Wilhelm von Mundy in 1799 . In 1821 Johann von Mundy sold the rule to Friedrich Schell von Wittinghoff.
After the abolition of patrimonial Rohozdec / Rohosdetz formed from 1850 a community in the district administration of Brno . From 1896 Rohozdec belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz . Since 1924 the community has been called Rohozec . In 1960, the army built barracks on the Střela to accommodate a missile department. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov, Rohozec came to Okres Blansko at the beginning of 1961 . In 1976, Hluboké Dvory , Zhoř , Unín and Bukovice were involuntarily incorporated. These villages broke up again in 1990 and formed their own communities. At the end of 1990 the missile division was abolished. After 2005, an 8 hectare fenced game reserve was built on the Střela in the former military installation. Since the beginning of 2007 the municipality belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
