Skryje (German Skree ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers northwest of Tišnov and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Skryje is located in the Sýkořská pahorkatina, a subunit of the Nedvědická vrchovina in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The scattered settlement is on both sides of the Bobrůvka on two river bends. To the south, on a spur above the valley, are the remains of the Rysov castle . To the west are the desert castles Košíkov and Víckov. To the northeast rises the Horka (503 m), southeast of the Jilmový Kopec (486 m), to the west of the Košíkov (460 m) and northwest of the Chochola (509 m).

Neighboring towns are Litava in the north, Pernštejnské Jestřabí in the northeast, Jilmoví in the east, Boudy and Vrbka in the southeast, Řikonín in the south, Tišnovská Nová Ves and Žďárec in the southwest, Šafránkův Mlýn and Havlov in the west and Kopaniny and Drahonín in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the place comes from 1358. The owner of the village at that time was Beneš from Skryje. He was the only one who had used the Skryje title . From 1368 Skryje belonged together with the Rysov Castle to the Vladiken von Drahany . Further owners were in the middle of the 15th century the Lords of Pernstein . In 1593 the Porta Coeli monastery acquired the goods. In 1782 the monastery was closed by Emperor Joseph II as part of the Josephine reforms . Subsequently, the village became subject to the secular rule of Porta Coeli. The oldest local seal with the inscription Skrei dates from 1785.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skrej formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district and judicial district Tischnowitz . Since 1896 the municipality belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz under the name Skreje . The place has been called Skryje since 1925 . In 1938 the company Fuchs & Střelec built a factory for home textiles near Skryje, around which a factory settlement was established. The shareholders of the company, later known as aka , were initially Bohuslav Fuchs and his wife Drahomíra as well as the painter František Kaláb. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov Horní Loučky came to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou at the beginning of 1961 and was incorporated into Horní Loučky at the same time . In 1990 Skryje broke up again and formed its own community. Since the beginning of 2005 the municipality of Skryje belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov . Of the 37 houses in the village, only 20 are now permanently used for residential purposes. The largest company in the village is Arka Skryje as, which has been in existence since 1992 and, according to its own statements, is one of the five most important manufacturers of home textiles in the country. A citizens' initiative is active against plans to build a dam on the Loučka.

Community structure

The municipality of Skryje consists of the districts Boudy and Skryje ( Skree ) and the locality Podskalí.
