Synalov (German Sinalow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers north of Tišnov and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
geography
Synalov is located in the Sýkořská pahorkatina, a subunit of the Nedvědická vrchovina in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village is located at the southern foot of the Sýkoř (702 m) in the basin of a small tributary to the Besének in the area of the Svratecká hornatina nature park. The Míchovec (618 m) rises to the northwest.
Neighboring towns are Kopaniny and Osiky in the north, Žleby and Kozárov in the northeast, Strhaře in the east, Zhoř and Rašov in the southeast, Chrastová, Lomnice and Veselí in the south, Prudká and Ochoz u Tišnova in the southwest, Běleč in the west and Křeptov and Louky in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village Smjlov , which belonged to the Lomnice domain, was made in 1360. The owners at that time were the Lomnitz family. Around 1572 Johann d. Ä. from Zierotin on Rossitz the rule, from 1644 it belonged to Franz Gabriel Graf Gabriel Serényi. Over time, the village was called Symilow , Synolow and Sinalov . Until the middle of the 19th century Synalov was always subject to the Lomnitz rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial Sinalov formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district administration and judicial district Tischnowitz . Since 1896 the community belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz. In 1900 a single-class elementary school opened in the village, previously Lomnice was the school location. The place name Synalov has been used since 1923 . In the same year the volunteer fire brigade was founded. The road from Lomnice to Synalov was built between 1939 and 1940. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov, Synalov came to Okres Blansko at the beginning of 1961 . Between 1985 and 1990 Synalov was incorporated into Lomnice. The parish has existed again since 1991 and since the beginning of 2007 it has belonged to Okres Brno-venkov .

Attractions
- Chapel of St. Guardian angel on the village square, erected in 1883
- Marble cross next to the chapel, created in 1924
- Memorial for the victims of the First World War, south of the village at the junction of the road to Balinka, erected in 1935
- baroque branch church of St. Stanislaus, the stand-alone church was built in the 18th century in place of a sanctuary that had existed since 1407. Legend has it that the church construction originally began elsewhere, the work was destroyed at night and two eagles are said to have moved the foundation stones to the current location, where the church was finally built. The building, one and a half kilometers northwest of the village, above the Besének valley, is surrounded by a cemetery used by the municipalities of Osiky, Strhaře, Brumov and Synalov.
- Statue of St. Stanislaus, the mighty figure standing in the forest, was allegedly placed at the originally intended site of the Stanislaus Church
- Remains of Osiky Castle on a wooded knoll above Stanislaus Church. The complex, whose original name is unknown, was built in the first half of the 13th century. It may be the Zuzinov Castle that cannot be located . Until the second half of the 20th century, this castle was considered to be Levnov Castle, which has been identified with the complex near Ketkovice , previously known as Ketkovský hrad , since the 1980s .

- Padělky Natural Monument, the 1.31 hectare area northeast of Synalov was protected because of its presence of heat-loving and lime-loving plant species
