Přibice (German Pribitz , formerly also Priebitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers southeast of Pohořelice and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .
geography
Přibice is located on a terrace on the left bank of the Jihlava in the Thaya-Schwarza Depression . The Slaniskový kopec (206 m) rises to the south-east. To the west is the Starý rybník pond in the south of the Vrkoč. To the south is the Bedřichův les ( Fedrech ) forest . The Vranovice – Pohořelice railway runs on the northern outskirts .
Neighboring towns are Smolín and Úlehla in the north, Žabčice and Přísnotice in the Northeast, Vranovice the east, Pouzdřany the southeast, Ivaň in the south, Hornoleský Dvůr, Nová Ves and Vilémov in the southwest, Mariánský Dvůr and Velký Dvůr in the west and Pohořelice in the northwest.
history
Archaeological finds show a settlement since the Paleolithic . The oldest news about the church of John the Baptist in Briwiz comes from the year 1222. In 1257 the church was consecrated again by Bishop Bruno von Schauenburg , it is believed that it perished during the Tatar invasion. John of Luxembourg left the village to the Brno Johannites in 1327 . This built in 1332 in Briwiz a Coming . In 1520 Wilhelm II of Pernštejn bought the village from the order and added it to his rule Židlochovice ; this was subject to Pribitz until the middle of the 19th century. The place had Protestant pastors from the 16th century. Hutterite Anabaptists also settled in Pribitz and had their own school. They were forced to leave Moravia in 1622. After the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War, the imperial troops under Field Marshal von Dampierre invaded the village and sacked it. A year later it was occupied by Polish troops. After the end of the war, Pribitz was largely desolate , and only nine of the 57 properties were managed. The parish became extinct and the village was parished to Vranovice . Later it belonged to the Pohořelice parish. In 1716 the village consisted of 44 farms. In the provisional census of 1763, Pribitz has 388 inhabitants, 57 farming families lived in the village. In 1775 a curatorial community was again established in Pribitz .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Priebitz / Přibice 1850 a municipality in the district administration Auspitz and the judicial district of Židlochovice. In 1895 traffic on the Vranovice – Pohořelice railway began . Between 1948 and 1960 the municipality belonged to the Okres Židlochovice. After its abolition, Příbice was added to the Okres Břeclav . In 1961 the municipality reached its highest population with 1310 inhabitants. In 1991, 1010 people lived in the 302 houses in Příbice. Since January 1st 2007 the municipality belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov . The municipality of Příbice has a coat of arms and a banner.
