history

Schirkewitz was first mentioned in writing in 1293. Since 1464 there has been evidence of a fortress . It was the seat of the Vladiks from Šerkovice. The fortress included a small estate to which parts of Šerkovice and Tisová were attached. The village of Tisová fell into desolation between 1464 and 1466. At the end of the 15th century, Šerkovice was divided between the Lomnitz rule and the Porta Coeli monastery. Subsequently, the festivities went out. In 1653, Šerkovice consisted of 11 properties. In 1839, 212 people lived in the village's 24 houses.

After the abolition of patrimonial Šerkovice formed from 1850 a municipality in the Brno district administration and judicial district Tischnowitz . In 1869 the village consisted of 27 houses and had 221 inhabitants. Since 1896 the community belonged to the newly formed district of Tischnowitz. In 1900 the village had 204 inhabitants and in 1930 there were 209. On July 12, 1922, the village was hit by floods that tore the bridge away. In 1923 a reinforced concrete bridge was built. During the Second World War, the Jermak partisan detachment operated in the forests around Šerkovice. On February 26, 1945, the Gestapo stormed the Paní Hora Hegerhaus. The commander of the partisan detachment died in the exchange of fire, two of the partisans were arrested and executed at the Kaunitz college in Brno . The Hegerehejmala were sent to the Mauthausen concentration camp and killed there. After the dissolution of the Okres Tišnov, Šerkovice came to the Okres Brno-venkov at the beginning of 1961 . On June 19, 1986, the Besének and its tributaries swelled after a downpour and flooded parts of the village. The brook tore away bridges and carried mud and stones onto the fields. The damage was not repaired until 1989. Subsequently, the Besének bed was widened in the village and embankment walls were built. Between 1980 and 1990 Šerkovice was incorporated into Tišnov .
