Říčky (German Ritschka , also Rziczek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 19 kilometers west of the city center of Brno and belongs to the Okres Brno-venkov .

geography

Říčky is located in Bobravská vrchovina on a hill between the valleys of the Bobrava and Říčanský potok. The Kaličný (431 m) rises to the southwest and the Velký Okrouhlík (454 m) to the south. The Bahňák pond is to the northeast. The D1 / E 55 / E 65 motorway runs east of the village , the next exit 178 is at Ostrovačice .

Neighboring towns are Javůrek in the north, Hvozdec in the Northeast, Dolní Říčky and Veverské Knínice in the East, Říčany and Rosice in the southeast, Zastávka and Mariánské Údolí in the south, Chroustov and Příbram na Moravě in the southwest, Litostrov the west and Rudka and Domašov in the northwest.

history

The origin of the municipality lies in today's Dolní Říčky. The first written mention of the place took place in 1358, when Mikeš, called Šembera, his daughter-in-law Markéta new Huben in Říčky and 40 shock groschen as a dowry. Later a manor and a mill were built. The owners of Říčky changed often. a. the Margrave Jobst of Moravia . When Pertold von Leipa sold the rulership of Rossitz to Johann the Elder of Zierotin , Říčky was listed among the associated villages in 1522.

West of Říčky, between 1773 and 1777, an outdoor restaurant was built on the road. In the years 1783 to 1787 the road connection from Brno to Iglau to Kaiserstraße was expanded. The Horní Říčky Spans were frequented by the carters and the village of Horní Říčky developed alongside the economy in the course of the 19th century. Its inhabitants initially lived from agriculture, in the second half of the 19th century many of them earned their living as miners in the coal mines of God's blessing .

After the abolition of patrimonial Říčky formed from 1850 a district of the community Rossitz in the Brno district. From 1910 Říčky was a district of Litostrov . In 1921 the community Říčky was established in the Okres Brno-venkov. In 1931 a parish hall was built in Říčky. In 1948 the community was assigned to the Okres Rosice. After its abolition, Říčky came back to Okres Brno-venkov in 1961 and was also incorporated into Domašov . Between 1974 and 1976 the parish hall was rebuilt. Říčky has been independent again since 1990. The parish hall was rebuilt in 2004/05.
