history

The Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in the second half of the 12th century. Řeznovice was first mentioned in a document in 1258 as the property of the St. Hippolyt's provost on the Pöltenberg . She exchanged the property in 1259 at the Cistercian abbey Vallis Sanctae Mariae in Oslawan for their share from Mašovice . At the end of the 13th century, the Gomolitz temple lords acquired the estate. The Collegiate Chapter Altbunzlau ceded church patronage to the Premonstratensian Abbey of Rosa Coeli in 1276 ; in 1349 it was taken over by the old Brno Cistercian monastery Maria Saal . The oldest news about the Řeznovice fortress came from 1373 as the property of Bohuslav von Witschkow ( Bohuslav z Víckova ). Later, the lords of Leipa were enfeoffed with the fortress and the village and in 1379 they added the estate to their rule Tempelstein . After the festivities were extinguished during the Bohemian-Hungarian War, a yard was built in its place , and later the parsonage as well. The estate was probably added to the Oslawan rule during this period. From the end of the 16th century to 1620, Protestant preachers worked in Řeznovice. The parish Řeznovice died in 1628; thereafter the church was a Kommendata of the Oslawan parish until it was raised to a parish again by the religious fund in 1785 . The Meierhof was closed in 1785. In 1800 Johann Nepomuk von Scharff, who had been a hereditary tenant since 1789, bought the Oslawan rule from the Imperial and Royal State Property Administration.

Until the 19th century, Řeznovice was divided into two villages: the upper village with the church was on the hill above the mouth of the Řeznovický potok in the Jihlava, the lower village on the hill at the confluence of the Polánka. Along the connecting road between the two localities, these grew together to form a village.

In 1835 the village of Ržesnowitz or Řežnowice , located in the Brno district , consisted of 49 houses in which 269 people lived. The parish assigned to the Rossitz deanery, the church of St. Peter and the school were under the patronage of the religious fund . There was also a floor-to-ceiling inn and a forge in the village. Ržesnowitz was the parish for Alexowitz , Biskupska , Budkowitz , Hrubschitz and Polanka . Until the middle of the 19th century, Ržesnowitz remained subject to the allodial rule of Oslawan.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Řeznovice / Rzesnowitz 1849 a municipality in the judicial district Eibenschitz . From 1869 the village belonged to the Brno District ; at that time Řeznovice had 300 inhabitants and consisted of 50 houses. In 1900 there were 414 people in Řeznovice; In 1910 there were 428. In 1920 the municipality was assigned to the newly created Okres Brno-venkov . In the 1921 census, 474 people lived in the 90 houses in the village, 472 of them Czech. In 1930 Řeznovice had 494 inhabitants and consisted of 110 houses. After the German occupation, Řeznovice / Resnowitz belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia from 1939 to 1945 . In 1948 Řeznovice was reclassified in the Okres Moravský Krumlov. In 1950 there were 472 people in Řeznovice. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Moravský Krumlov, the municipality came back to the Okres Brno-venkov on July 1, 1960. The incorporation to Ivančice took place on July 1, 1980. At the 2001 census, 374 people lived in the 141 houses of Řeznovice.
