Rokytná (German Rottigl ) is a village with 178 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is 260 m above sea level. M. in a meander of the river Rokytná , about one kilometer northeast of the town of Moravský Krumlov .
The largest part of the district is taken up by the nature reserve "Krumlovsko-rokytenské slepence", which is characterized by steep, partly vertically sloping conglomerate rocks and, due to its climatic characteristics, has a large variety of rare and protected animal and plant species.
Attractions
Above the village lie the remains of the extensive Slavic hill fort called Urbs Rokite from the 9th century on a rock spur . In the village is the baroque parish church of St. Leopold (1755), the previous building of which St. Hyppolit (after 1252) was destroyed by fire. In a small valley south of the village, by a spring, hidden in the forest, there is a Marienkapelle (third quarter of the 19th century), next to which there is an alms column from the 15th century.
