history
The first written mention of the Spešov fortress was made in 1373 as the seat of Vladiken Ctibor of Spešov. His son Buzer von Spešov followed him from 1390. In the following year a mill was mentioned and there is evidence of a farm in Spešov since 1407. At the beginning of the 15th century Spešov's owners changed frequently. In 1415 Vaňek von Boskowitz acquired the goods. From 1550 Spešov belonged to the Černá Hora estate . In 1806 the village school started operations; previously the children had been educated in Bořitov and Blansko . Iron ore was mined in the hills west of the village. Shell limestone and cast sand were later mined near Spešov . Between 1846 and 1847 the railway line Česká Třebová – Brno was built , which crossed the village in the eastern part. A train station was not set up in Spešov.
After the patrimonial rule was replaced, Spešov / Speschau became an independent municipality in the Boskovice district administration in 1850 . The new school was built in 1879 and two years later it was expanded to include two-class classes. In 1903 the road from Blansko via Dolní Lhota to Rájec was built. In 1907 the cemetery was laid out. In 1948 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Blansko . Spešov was incorporated into Blansko in 1980. In 1999 the school in Spešov was closed. After a referendum, the village broke away from Blansko at the beginning of 2000 and formed its own municipality. Spešov has had a coat of arms and a banner since April 17, 2009. The village has always been parish after Blansko. There is an outdoor swimming pool northwest of the village.
