history

The first written mention of the village and the Louka Castle was in 1360 as the property of the Proček of Lomnice. The Loucký Dvůr Vorwerkshof has been traceable since 1391. From 1406 the rule belonged to the Lords of Boskowitz and from 1464 back to a branch of the Lomnitzer. In 1496 Wilhelm II of Pernstein bought the Louka castle with the associated villages and added them to the Pernstein rule . Vratislav von Pernstein sold the Lauka goods to Friedrich von Hardegg on Letovice before 1582 . In 1591 the castle was described as desolate. Since the 17th century Louka has been subject to the rule of the Kunstadt . In 1790 there were 223 people in the village. West of Louka there were two mills on the Hodonínka .

After the abolition of patrimonial Louka formed from 1850 a parish in the district administration Boskovice . In 1900 the community had 258 inhabitants. The school was inaugurated in 1903. The road from Olešnice via Louka to Rozseč nad Kunštátem was built in 1922. In 1938, 268 people lived in Louka. At the beginning of 1961 the community was assigned to the Okres Blansko . In the second half of the 20th century, the population began to decline significantly. In 1980 Louka consisted of 44 permanent residential houses and had 181 residents. In 1990 only 29 houses were permanently inhabited and 104 people lived in Louka. Between 1989 and 1993 Louka was part of Olešnice. The Loukov parish has existed again since 1994. On the evening of July 15, 2002, the Hodonínka and its tributary Crhovský potok swelled into torrential rivers after a strong thunderstorm. The Louka cadastre includes the large forest area Loucká obora, which used to belong to the castle.
