Several caves, sinkholes, earth fractures and waterfalls can also be found in the immediate vicinity of the village, of which the Vilémovické propadání (Wilhelmschlager sinkhole) has the second largest depth at 70 m next to the Macocha. To the west is the Vývěry Punkvy nature reserve . To the south of the village is the 538 m high Strážná, which offers a wide view, especially of Jedovnice with the Olšovec and Budkovan lakes. To the southwest lies the Rohrbach desert.

Neighboring towns are Pindulka and Ostrov u Macochy in the north, Lipovec in the northeast, Krasová in the east, Kotvrdovice in the southeast, Jedovnice , Chaloupky, Rudice and Harbech in the south, Lažánky in the southwest, Skalní Mlýn and Těchov in the west and Nové Dvory and Suchdol in the northwest.

history

The place was created in the middle of the 13th century in the course of the colonization of the area by the Lords of Hohlenstein . The village Wilhelmschlag was first mentioned in writing in 1267. In a document from 1336, the village was confirmed as belonging to the lordship of Hohlenstein , with the exception of a share belonging to the Blansko lordship. Between 1430 and 1437 Vok IV. Von Hohlenstein sold the Hohlenstein Castle with all its accessories to Heník von Waldstein . After Bernhard Drnovský had acquired the rule Hohlenstein around 1570, he united it with Raitz . The Drnovský family died out completely in 1667 with Johanka von Roggendorf and the estates fell to their son Johann Christian von Roggendorf. The imperial counts of Roggendorf and Mollenburg owned the rule until 1763. After that, Anton Josef Altgraf zu Salm-Reifferscheidt acquired the property.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vilémovice / Willimowitz formed from 1850 a municipality in the district authority of Boskowitz . In 1862 a one-class village school was inaugurated. The school building was increased by a second floor in 1876. During the German occupation between 1939 and 1945, the place was again given the original name Wilhelmschlag . 1948 Vilémovice was assigned to the Okres Blansko .
