Doubravice nad Svitavou market

The first written mention of an Erhard von Doubravice took place in 1049. Between 1120 and 1130 Markvart and Mstihněv von Doubravice appeared as witnesses in various legal transactions. Zbyněk of Doubravice was killed in 1331 in the Battle of Treffen against the Austrians. His descendants formed the branch of the Osovský family from Doubravice . The first documentary evidence of the town and the parish of Doubravice belonging to the castle of the same name was made in 1358. In 1371 Ješek von Doubravice and Skalice left the property to his wife Margarethe. In her second marriage to Jimram von Pernstein , she also brought her annual income of 250 pounds from the town of Doubravice, the festivals and the forests on the Nešorka. Smil Oldřich von Doubravice expanded the property to include the Lhota, Klemov and Jestřebí estates. In 1391 his son Vaněk Černohorský von Boskovice sold the goods to Ješek Pušek from Kunštát on Otaslavice. From 1418 the robber baron Heralt von Sovinec belonged to the following owners . In 1436 Heralt von Kunštát acquired Doubravice together with Petrovice , the desert Podolí and the village Vavřinec back. In 1528 Jan Lhotský bought from Ptení Doubravice including Kuničky and Němčice . Later Bohuslav from Drnovice on Rájec bought the goods. In 1557 the town received a new seal under Emperor Ferdinand II. After Jan Drnovský's death, the property fell to the Roggendorf family . At the beginning of the 17th century the town consisted of 38 houses, one of which was in ruins at the end of the Thirty Years' War. Doubravice Castle has been called desolate since 1527. By 1745 the place had grown to 58 houses.

After the replacement of patrimonial Doubravice formed from 1850 with the district Klemov a market town in the district administration Boskovice . In 1864, 769 people lived in the 119 houses in the village. In 1900 the market town had 1,136 inhabitants, all of whom, with the exception of one German, belonged to the Czech ethnic group. At that time the place consisted of 142 houses, six of the residents were Protestants. In the years 1939 to 1941, construction work for the Reichsautobahn Vienna-Breslau took place east of the village . Since the beginning of 1961 the Doubravice belongs to the Okres Blansko .
