history

Holešín was first mentioned in writing in 1349 in the course of the Landtafel entry about the sale of Holešín by Čeněk von Leipa to Wok / Vok I. von Holstein before 1321 . Although located halfway between the Doubravice and Rájec castles , the village belonged to neither of the two lords, but to the Holstein possessions. In 1540 Bohusek Drnovský appropriated the villages Žďár and Holešín on Rájec . His successor Bernard Drnovský von Drnovec bought the entire Hohlenstein manor in 1567 and joined them to Rájec. Before the Thirty Years War, the Rundling consisted of nine properties, three of which were in desolation after the war. After Jan Drnovský's death in 1667 the property fell to the Roggendorf family . In 1763 Anton Josef Altgraf von Salm-Reifferscheidt acquired the rule. In 1793 the village had 114 inhabitants and consisted of 21 houses. Under the old count Salm-Reifferscheidt-Raitz there was an economic upswing of the Raitz and Blansko domains . Some of the residents earned their living in the stately ironworks.

After the abolition of patrimonial Holešín formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . In 1873 the iron industry began to decline. In 1890 269 people lived in the 43 houses of the village. Ten years later, Holešín had grown to 45 houses and had 257 residents.

At the beginning of 1961 Holešín was assigned to the Okres Blansko . In 1974 Holešín consisted of 62 houses with 236 residents. In 1980 it was incorporated into Rájec-Jestřebí . In 1991 the place had 167 inhabitants. On May 26, 2003, the Holešínka brook burst its banks after heavy rain. The village has always been parish, depending on Doubravice nad Svitavou . In 2001, there were 73 houses and 159 inhabitants in Holešín.
