The Hong He ( Chinese  紅河  /  红河 , Pinyin hóng hé  - "Red River") is a river in the province of Liaoning , People's Republic of China and unites at the confluence with the Ying'e He to form the Hun River (the map shows the confluence where the Hun River begins).

It rises near Taipingtun, then becomes Zhuanshui Lake and flows in large turns towards the west, past Dadian Zicun, Nantianmen Cun, Shahezi, "Fushun Honghe Gorge Drifting", Nanshan and then flows steadily towards the north after several arcs, past another “Fushun Honghe Gorge Drifting” and then later bends slightly to the northeast. At Bagu Liu it makes an S-loop and then after another large semicircular arc flows back west past Si Avenue Hecun, then bends straight north again after about 2 km. Shortly after Ma Qianzhaicun, it unites with the Ying'e He to form the Hun River .
