The Hun He ( Chinese 渾河 / 浑河 , Pinyin hún hé ) is a river in the Liaoning Province , People's Republic of China and one of the tributaries of the Liao He .
The Hun River begins at the confluence of the Ying'e River and the Hong River .
It used to be known as Shen Shui ( 瀋 水 / 沈 水 , shěnshuǐ ).
Various large cities lie on the Hun River ("Muddy River"), including the provincial capital Shenyang and Fushun .
