history

The first written mention of Borotín was in 1365 as part of the Letovice estate . In 1397 Sigmund von Ronow sold part of Borotin to Offka von Oppatowitz . The following year, Sigmund von Ronow signed the income from Nierow and the remaining part of Borotín as a morning gift to his wife Elsa von Kunstadt-Lissitz . The subsequent owners of Borotín included u. a. Petr Kornel von Všehrdy , an ancestor of the writer Viktorin Kornel von Všehrdy . From 1564 the Fellendorfer von Borotin owned the goods. At the beginning of the 17th century, Heinrich Matthias von Thurn bought Borotín and rejoined Letovice. Ladislav von Korditsch auf Lettowitz sold Borotín in 1697 to Barbara von Freyenfels. In 1784 Joseph von Freyenfels sold Borotín for 100,000 guilders to Joseph Maria von Friedenthal. In 1791 he bought the villages of Albendorf , Kein Rautka and Kotzowa Lhota, which were formerly owned by Gewitsch Monastery , and joined them to the rule. In 1790 he had the new interest village Friedenthal built north of Borotin. In 1791 Borotin consisted of 38 houses and had 463 inhabitants. At the time, the Borotín estate included the Raudka village and the Groß Slatina estate with the villages of Groß Slatina, Brzezinka and Wacholkowa Lhota and a portion of Korbelowa Lhota. Borotin belonged to the Brno district, but was temporarily assigned to the Olomouc district between 1783 and 1791.

After the abolition of patrimonial Borotín formed with the district Friedenthal a municipality in the district administration Moravská Třebová . In 1855 the municipality was assigned to the district administration Jevíčko , which was repealed in 1868. During the German occupation, Borotin was assigned to the Political District of Boskowitz between 1941 and 1945 . After the end of the war, the community was initially again part of the Okres Moravská Třebová and in 1949 again assigned to the Okres Boskovice. In 1948 Frýdntál was renamed Dvořiště and at the same time lost the status of a district. At the beginning of 1961 Borotín was assigned to the Okres Blansko .
