Roubanina (German Raubanin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers north of Letovice and belongs to the Okres Blansko .
geography
Roubanina is located in the south of the Podorlická pahorkatina (Eagle Mountain Foreland) on the upper reaches of the Zavadilka river. The Javor (606 m) rises to the north, the Niva (529 m) and the Hammerle (534 m) to the northeast, the Vlkov (599 m) and the Stráň (522 m) to the south and the Kojetína (586 m) to the north-west. The foothills of the Schönhengster back stretched to the north .
Neighboring towns are Březinka and Slatina in the north, Na Červené, Bělá u Jevíčka , Olší and Smolná in the northeast, Klen, Roubanská and Korbelova Lhota in the east, Bezděčí and Svárov in the southeast, Chlum in the south, Bahna and Rumberkžov in the southwest, Luhy and Horní Smržov in the west and Horákova Lhota in the northwest.
history
Roubanina was founded in the course of the colonization activities of the Olomouc bishop Bruno von Schauenburg at the crossroads of two important trade routes. The first written mention of the village was in 1356 as the property of Vladiken Bolko von Roubanina. The seat of the lords of Roubanina was a festival in the village. In 1755 a one-class village school was established, which was also attended by children from the surrounding towns of Chlum, Březinka, Slatina, Korbelova Lhota, Bezděčí and Svárov.
After the abolition of patrimonial the political community Roubanín was established in the district administration Moravská Třebová from 1850 . In 1855 the municipality was assigned to the district administration Jevíčko , which was repealed in 1868. From 1910 the community was called Roubanina. According to the Munich Agreement , Roubanina was on the border with the German Empire from 1938. From 1942 until the 1950s south of Roubanina in the mine Důl svaté Barbory fire clay mined. The mine had about 50 employees. The school in Roubanina closed in the 1950s. At the beginning of 1961, Roubanina was merged with Deštná , Horní Smržov and Rumberk to form the Deštná-Roubanina municipality and at the same time assigned to the Okres Blansko . Between 1986 and 1990 Roubanina was incorporated into Letovice . The community of Roubanina has existed again since 1990. Roubanina is the parish for the villages of Bezděčí, Svárov, Chlum, Slatina and Březinka.

- Remains of Rumberk Castle, in the forest southwest of the village
