history

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1374 when Heralt von Kunstadt gave his wife Jitka goods in Ústup as trousseau. Together with Rozsíčka , most of Ústup belonged to the Lysice and Drnovice domains . A proportion of around nine houses was subservient to Kunstadt . An important imperial road ran through Ústup from Moravia to Bohemia. During the First Silesian War , on May 9, 1742, between Deutsch Oels and Austup, there was a night battle between Austrian and Saxon troops, in which the Saxons suffered a defeat. In addition to more than 100 dead, they also lost 200 men in Austrian captivity. In 1790 188 people lived in the village. In 1834 Ústup had 205 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ústup formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Boskovice . After the construction of the railway, Kaiserstraße lost its importance as a transport route in 1848. The school was inaugurated in 1868, after which lessons were held in Olešnice. In 1890 the village had 220 inhabitants, in 1900 there were 207. In 1939 171 people lived in the community. In 1960 the number of inhabitants had fallen to 101. At the beginning of 1961, Ústup was incorporated into Rozsíčka and at the same time assigned to the Okres Blansko . In 1980 Ústup consisted of 21 houses permanently used for residential purposes and had 75 inhabitants. Between 1990 and 1993 Ústup was part of Olešnice. The municipality of Ústup has existed again since 1994.
